Links with the Church

The Preschool is based in the School Rooms at the Cullompton Baptist Church and we are well supported by the church – both by volunteer helpers and committee members.  We welcome families of all religions and cultures.

At the end of the Autumn and Summer terms we hold a short concert in the Church - which is sensitive to the Christian Faith, for the children to take part in.

 Links with Primary Schools

As a Preschool, we maintain close links with the local schools.  The foundation teachers visit us prior to your children starting school.  As part of the “Culm Valley Pre-School Liaison Group”, we meet regularly with the schools in the area to ensure continuity of care and that the transition to school is made as easy as possible.

What do we need to know?

Before your child starts at Preschool, you will be asked to complete a form which is confidential, giving personal information about your child.  We need to have details about your child’s health, child’s Doctor and Health Visitor and emergency contact numbers etc.

Keyworker System

When your child starts with Preschool, they will be allocated to a member of staff who will help them settle into Preschool.  This person will be your child’s keyworker.  The keyworker will be responsible for observing your child and keeping the necessary records, so that we can ensure that they reach their full potential whilst with us.
